The 2019 BMA Medical Book Awards took place at the British Medical Association’s headquarters in London on the 3rd of September 2019. The highly regarded event recognises outstanding contributions to medical literature. Woolford Medical Media's Director, Hannah, was present at the event celebrating with the professors and publishers we represent as the winning titles were announced.

First Prize in Cardiology

The ESC Textbook of Cardiovascular Medicine, 3rd edition A John Camm, Thomas F Luscher, Gerald Maurer, and Patrick Serruys. Oxford University Press, December 2018.

It is to no surprise, and we are thrilled! The ESC Textbook of Cardiovascular Medicine won a deserved first place in Cardiology. This Textbook is one of a kind for rich, core knowledge expected of all cardiologist. This clearly laid-out, abounding guide consists of background information behind clinical practise guidelines, in-depth peer-reviewed articles and a broad coverage of this ever-evolving fast-pace field.

Our Director was even more thrilled to meet one of our favourite professors, legendary neuropsychopharmacologist, David John Nutt whom specialises in the research of drugs that affect the brain and conditions such as addiction, anxiety, and sleep. Nutt's latest book Addiction, 2nd Edition was highly commended this year. He now has three books deemed highly commended by the British Medical Association. Congratulations David!
